I just downloaded the DVD ‘Warp Vision – The Videos From 1989-2004′ which is a compilation of some of Warp Records experimental music videos. Featuring artists such as Aphex Twin, Nightmares On Wax, Squarepusher and Prefuse 73. However, this tune from Anti-Pop Consortium just shows you what Warp Records are all about. Cutting edge music accompanied by a cutting edge video. Pure coolness.

Set in 1962 California, American Graffiti follows the cruising and rock and roll cultures which kicked off among the Post-World War II baby boom generations. The movie is a nostalgic portrait of teenage life in the early 1960s told in a series of vignettes, featuring the story of a group of teenagers and their adventures within one night. Kind of like Kids in the 1960s but without the HIV and Skateboards. If you haven’t seen it, get to know.

In The Fixer Joe Sacco returns to Bosnia, the setting of his first masterpiece, Safe Area Gorazde. It tells the story of a Sarajevan man, Neven, who having lost everything else in the war, sells his stories to Western journalists. Sacco gradually realises that Neven’s own story – a microcosm of the Balkan war itself – might be the most compelling of all. Set against the backdrop of the Sarajevan War, Sacco tells the story of the warlords and gangsters who ran the country during the war. A powerful, political graphic novella which was given the best comic award by Time Magazine in 2003.
